Etón FR1000 Voicelink Emergency Radio

This would be a pretty niffy device to have on hand while venturing into the woods.  You will never need to worry about your two-way radios becoming just added weight with dead batteries. Just use Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and your Eton FR1000 can double as a battery charger. If they added solar as another means of recharging, that would make it an ultimate survival device (plus replace all plastic with carbon fiber and or titanium but that might be asking too much).

Features:

  • 22 GMRS (General Mobile Radio System)/FRS (Family Radio System) channels
  • 121 privacy codes (38 CTCSS / 83 DCS)
  • AM/FM receiver
  • VOX (Voice operated transmission)
  • NOAA weather radio and NOAA weather alert
  • Siren and LED Flashlight
  • Can be powered from four different sources:
    • Rechargeable Ni-MH battery
    • Dynamo hand crank
    • 4 “AA” batteries
    • AC Adapter
  • Cell-phone charging jack (need to get adapter from manufacturer after you register)
