Esbit is the leading manufacturer of the solid fuel market.? I purchase a Esbit stove purely for novelty purpose.
In a nutshell, I think solid fuel is a great idea, but lacks the capability to be of any real value in the backcountry.? It is practically useless without a windscreen when the wind speed is greater than a sneeze.? I have heard that the Esbit is used by the military, so I imagine it must work on some level.
